Shadow Games by chrisscalf Shadow Games by chrisscalf
Here is another painting I did for the Star Wars Essential Reader's Companion.

-------------
This was a very fun job... But quite a challenge as well. I had 2 months to do 39 illustrations for this book.

While speed is a strength that normally lands me a lot of my work, I still want to do as best as I can. It can become quite a challenge. I pushed VERY hard on this assignment to do my absolute best-- even having to work it around my regular freelance work. But I pulled it off... And I am happy with the way it came out.

As soon as I saw Han Solo I was like 'Star Wars!!!' :dummy: This is brilliant and the rippled effect in the background is so well done!
And 39 illustrations in just 2 MONTHS! Wow :O

I was thrilled to see this one in the ERC because I'd been wondering what the new Shadow Games characters looked like. Very cool! It sounds like you put a lot of work into that book, and the illustrations were what drew a lot of people to the book I think. I really like the way the air ripples from the assassin's weapon in this picture.
