When you make things up, do you see it clearly in your head or do you make it up on the way? Love it.

Do you see a very detailed picture in your head?

A warm-up painting??? No, this is way too good to be just a warm-up, fantastic job! I've always loved your art ^w^

Your skills are scary. I hope I can become this good one day -not likely. :)

Out of curiosity, what's with all the warm-up paintings? Are these small paintings you do at the start of your day before tackling the larger painting projects you have going on? Or are you trying to "get back into the swing of things"?

By the way, the focus on this is pretty incredible. Did you handle all that using a blur tool, or did you simply paint it that way (which would be pretty amazing :D)? I'm sure the speed videos would show the technique but I don't have the time to watch them right now. ^^;

I am trying to get into some kind of groover, but mostly these are warm up vids before the phone starts ringing, and deadlines start piling up on me. Gets me into a better state of mind working on the commercial art stuff after I have appeased me inner geek and drawn some crazy scifi and what not.

The blur is from jiggling a large brush smudge tool on those portions of the art. Faster than the blur tool...
